The Barrington Town Council is looking for volunteers to serve on:


  • Bicycle-Pedestrian Advisory Committee: 2 vacancies: 2 alternates
  • Board of Assessment Review:  1 vacancy: 1st alternate
  • Board of Canvassers: 1 vacancy: 1st alternate, Republican
  • Board of Library Trustees: 1 vacancy: 1 full member
  • Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee: 1 Student representative to serve a term of June 1, 2025, through May 31, 2026 (non-voting member)
  • Housing Board of Trustees: 3 vacancies: 1st, 2nd & 3rd alternates
  • Open Space Committee:  1 vacancy: 1st alternate
  • Parks & Recreation: 1 vacancy: 3rd alternate
  • Senior Services Advisory Board:  1 vacancy:  2nd alternate
  • Veterans Advisory Committee: 1 vacancy: 1 alternate (5 members to be veterans, can include family members of veterans)
    • Advisory matters would include promoting veterans rights, arranging for appropriate ceremonies honoring veterans on holidays or otherwise, helping unify veterans groups, keeping the Town Council informed of problems and/or issues affecting veterans and supporting the needs of veterans. The term is one year ending December 31 of each calendar year, subject to reappointment and continuing to serve until a successor is appointed.
