Kayak and Boat Storage Permits
Barrington Recreation offers the opportunity for residents to obtain a permit for kayak, paddleboard, or canoe at Waller Farm and Barrington Beach. Small boat storage is also available at Barrington Beach. A permit is obtained via a lottery system.
2025 Season
Kayak/Boat Lottery 2025 Registration is now closed.
Thank you for your interest in the Barrington Recreation Kayak/Boat Lottery. Registration for the 2025 season closed on March 13th at 11:59 PM.
The random drawing took place on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 10:30 AM and was live-streamed from the Peck Center for Adult Enrichment Meeting Room. Winners and those waitlisted were notified Tuesday, March 25, 2025 via email. To view the livestream video, please click here.
All applicants were entered into the drawing, and winners were selected at random. Those selected were notified via email with instructions on how to complete their permit registration and payment.
To view the results of the 2025 Watercraft Lottery Winners & Waitlist, please click here. The number of winners was determined by the available spaces, and a waitlist was created in case any winners do not claim their spot. Due to high demand and limited rack availability, not all applicants were selected as winners or placed on the waitlist. If the waitlist is exhausted, additional names will be drawn.
Information about the 2026 Kayak/Boat Lottery will be posted in early 2026.
Thank you for your participation!
