Refuse

Refuse is ONLY collected curbside on your rubbish day. Please review the route to know your specific pick-up day.

Refuse is NOT accepted at the Department of Public Works or Recycling Center.

Yard Waste

Yard Waste (leaves, grass, weeds, small clippings that will compost) is picked up April through mid-December on your rubbish day. Yard waste must be in brown paper yard waste bags or barrels. Residents may bring yard waste to the Recycling Center during their hours of operation year-round. 

Holiday Collection Schedule

Collection will be delayed one day during a holiday week ending with Friday collection on Saturday. Please review the holiday week collection schedule calendar.

Rubbish, recycling, and yard waste must be at the curb by 7:00 AM

Special Pick Ups

Brush Chipping

The Brush Chipping Program is done for a limited time in the spring and again in the fall. The Fall brush chipping dates are September 6 - October 28.  Brush will only be collected during this time. Brush should be loosely stacked with the cut ends toward the road. Piles will be limited to 3 feet high by 4 feet wide and 6 feet long. Branches more than 4 inches in diameter as well as logs, stumps, and root balls will not be collected. Each stop will be limited to 10 minutes. Homeowners are reminded that commercial landscapers are responsible for the removal of brush they generate.

Call DPW for pickup.  Please be sure brush is at the curb when you call.  Brush will only be collected at addresses called in.

Metal Collection

Metal collection occurs monthly on your refuse day. Metal includes appliances, water heaters, gas grills, aluminum doors and gutters, lawn mowers, bicycles with tires removed, and other miscellaneous metal. Any gas tanks must be completely removed.
