Bay Spring Culvert Project

Home Posted on January 07, 2026

The Bay Spring Culvert Project begins with limited tree and shrub removal to safely access the work area and improve flow paths. The project will rehabilitate existing 36-inch and 60-inch corrugated metal pipe culverts using slip-lining, a minimally invasive rehabilitation technology that restores structural integrity while reducing excavation and environmental disturbance. Additional work includes debris removal upstream and downstream of the culverts, installation of temporary stream bypass systems, and stabilization of stone inlet and outlet walls. All work is being completed in compliance with state environmental regulations and within a 120-day design-build time frame, weather and permitting dependent, resulting in improved drainage capacity and reduced flooding risk.

Thank you for your patience.
