Tax Assessor

The Assessors' Office is responsible for administering all laws and regulations regarding property tax assessment. The assessor discovers taxable real property and business personal property, maintains a database of property characteristics and ownership, annually determines property assessed values, administers property tax exemptions, and commits a tax roll to the collector for billing.

Notice: Residents May Experience In-Person Tax Payment Delays

The Town is implementing new tax collection software which may affect in-person payment processing time for the upcoming quarter.

We appreciate your patience as we transition to the new program that will be beneficial to all.  If possible, residents are encouraged to consider alternative payment options during this period, such as online payments or mail-in checks.

The Tax Assessor/Collector’s office is located at Town Hall and is available during regular business hours for questions and assistance.
