   The Town of Barrington is seeking artwork to design a crosswalk at Wood Avenue and Waseca Avenue intersection and Bike Path Connector. Barrington residents and students are encourage to enter their work to design the crosswalk. Artists may submit until Monday, June 5, 2023 at 7:00 PM. The selected artist will have their submitted design painted on a section of the site in early September. 

   Please complete the form for consideration. The selected artist will be selected and notified following the Monday, July 17 Bicycle-Pedestrian Advisory Committee meeting.

16. Design Standards
    • Design submission should adhere to the following measurements:
      • Dimensions of the crosswalk/canvas:
        • 35 feet long, 10 feet wide, 326 square feet. 
        • See design template (PDF).
      • Map of the Wood-Waseca Intersection with the Bike Path Connector (PDF). Specific location of the design within the given area to be determined. 
      • Submission to be a 11"x17" landscape format in order to be printed for voting.
    • Design works with primary colors (red, yellow, blue, and white) or use a combination of these colors for palette. 
    • Design is replicable to a community setting. Should be creative without being overly intricate. 
    • Design submissions will be anonymous. Please remove name/identifying information.
