2. Town Logo Redesign Contest

   The Town of Barrington is looking to create a new official logo through a logo design competition. The public is invited to submit their own concepts for a new Town of Barrington logo using the form below.

   ABOUT THE CONTEST:

   • Must be a current or former Barrington resident to participate.
   • Minors under the age of 18 will need a parental consent letter if selected as a finalist. 
   • Contestants may submit up to (3) three entries and must complete an entry form for each submission.
   • The deadline for submission is noon on Friday, September 29, 2023. The Town of Barrington reserves the right to extend all deadlines associated with this contest.
   • Designs must be submitted digitally. No hard copies will be accepted. Designs may be created with computer drawing programs or traditional mediums but must be uploaded below in .pdf, .png or .jpg format. 
   • All submitted designs and images must be the original work of the contestant. No third-party artwork or images, including clipart or copyrighted graphics, may be used.
   • Each design must be compatible in both black and white, and color. The design must be compatible and replicable on print versions, banners, digital boards and across all digital platforms.
   • Contestants agree to assign all ownership rights, including all intellectual property rights to any submitted design, to the Town of Barrington, RI. The Town of Barrington may alter, modify, or revise the submitted design as it sees fit to achieve the needs of the Town. Contestants agree that the Town of Barrington may use their submissions and names for advertising campaigns and/or marketing materials in the future.
   • Designs deemed offensive or inappropriate will be disqualified.
   • The Town review committee intends to select up to six finalists, with the winner selected based on a Town-wide vote.
   • The winner will be highlighted on the Town of Barrington website, recognized at an announcement ceremony, and awarded a $500 cash prize, along with merchandise featuring the new Town logo. 
   • Each runner-up will receive a $100 cash prize.
