The Human Resource Department of the Town of Barrington is responsible for all aspects of Personnel Management. Our goal is to provide excellent service to our diverse municipal workforce, departments and the general public. Police / Fire Dispatcher
Full Time & Part Time
Receive routine and emergency calls from the public requesting police, fire, medical or other services. Determine the nature and location of the emergency; determine priorities, and dispatch police, fire ambulance or other emergency units as necessary and in accordance with established procedures.
Candidate must have excellent computer / data entry skills (IMC preferred), be able to multitask and have good customer service skills.
Full time position is 4 days on with 2 days off. Hours are 11:30 PM until 7:30 AM (must be flexible to cover other shifts in emergencies). Starting salary is $35,705 plus benefits.
Part time positon is 2 day son with 4 days off. Hours are 11:30 PM until 7:30 AM. Additional hours may be available.Hourly rate is $18.00 with no benefits.
